Breed Standard

If you plan on showing your RagaMuffin kittens, it is important that you become familiar with the standard for the RagaMuffin.  The standard varies a bit depending on the cat association.  Therefore, the links below are the breed standards for ACFA and, CFA.

Importance of Showing Cats that Meet the Breed Standard

Since the RagaMuffin breed is a relatively new breed, it is important for you to show your RagaMuffin kittens and cats.  Your RagaMuffins should meet the breed standard, so there is consistency in the RagaMuffins.  This assists in having the RagaMuffin become more known in the cat fancy, to both fellow breeders and the judges.  In addition, it educates the public about the RagaMuffin.

The Fun Parts of Showing Your RagaMuffin

You will usually find a crowd developing around you when you show your RagaMuffin kittens and cats.  The RagaMuffin breed is starting to become more popular.  Spectators are curious about these gorgeous kittens with such sweet expressions.  The CFA judges have become much more accepting of the RagaMuffin over the past several years.  This is because the RagaMuffins have become more consistent. Many beautiful RagaMuffin kittens and cats have become Grand Champions and Regional winners.  This is a great accomplishment for the RagaMuffin cat breed.   RagaMuffin breeders (and owners) should be proud to show off their RagaMuffins.  Any TRKBS breeder would be happy to help any breeder or pet owner with showing to “learn the ropes.”  You will have fun if you show your RagaMuffin kittens with fellow RagaMuffin breeders or kitten owners.  Dressing up your show cage has become something of a competition, but mostly, it is lots of fun.  Many of our RagaMuffins seem to enjoy being in the spotlight.  While their laid back temperament does not make all of them rush to climb the pole, they win over the spectators with their beauty.
